International Couple-My husband and I spent a night at the glamping! Katie has set up an amazing space with really comfy tents and the best outdoors experience to completely disconnect and sleep in the middle of nowhere. It also has a great bbq where we could cook the salmon we fished! Really recommended!!!
A Perfect Escape

Family Tent-We really enjoyed our time and loved being so close to Eklutna lake! The amenities were amazing and we loved saving time on packing and mental energy by having the tents, beds, and camp kitchen already there! Watching the porcupine in the tree was an extra bonus! Highlights: Kid Friendly

Booking Last Minute-Lovely camping experience, people who care. Exhausted from several days of backcountry camping in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, I booked a tent with Alaska Glamping on our way to Anchorage. It was so late at night that I wasn't confident we would be accommodated. Not only did Katie accommodate us with a family tent, but she was attentive to our every need. We had a hot shower and a campfire going. The bed was everything I needed: comfortable, clean and private. The following morning, my son left his watch in the tent. Katie was so kind to ensure we got it back when we came back through the area. Honestly, it was like someone in my family taking care of me. Thank you, Katie.

Staycation Glampers- Stayed here one weekend for a little getaway from Anchorage and it was so cozy! It was our first time glamping so we weren't sure what to expect but they had everything we needed - a kitchen, bathroom, shower, and the glamping tent was all set up for us when we got there. The bonfire we had onsite was the perfect touch for the chilly weather!

Is Alaskan Glamping good for people who have never camped before?
Absolutely. Alaskan Glamping is particularly well suited to people who want to try wilderness travel without starting with traditional tent camping.
Guests can sleep in comfortable canvas tents, cook in an established outdoor kitchen, use a dedicated outdoor shower, and gather around a prepared fire pit.
It is a good introduction to outdoor living for travelers who are curious about camping but aren't ready to haul a tent, sleeping system, stove, and entire camp setup around Alaska.

Is Alaskan Glamping good for families with young children?
Yes, with the understanding that this is still a wilderness property rather than a conventional hotel.
Families with young children can enjoy the canvas tents, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, forest, and surrounding Alaska landscape. Parents should be comfortable supervising children around outdoor cooking equipment, fire, uneven terrain, and other normal wilderness hazards.
Is Alaskan Glamping good for multigenerational family trips?
Yes. Multigenerational travel is a particularly good fit for the property.
The glamping setup allows grandparents, parents, and children to share an outdoor experience without requiring everyone to be experienced campers. Families can spend the day exploring Alaska and return to a comfortable camp where they can cook, relax, and gather together.

Yes. Alaskan Glamping is a natural fit for families interested in experiential and outdoor education.
The surrounding wilderness provides opportunities to observe Alaska's plants, wildlife, weather, geology, forests, waterways, and seasonal changes firsthand. The experience is intentionally less about entertainment and more about giving families time and space to explore together.
What makes Alaskan Glamping different from other Alaska accommodations?
Alaskan Glamping combines comfort with genuine wilderness immersion.
It isn't a hotel placed in the wilderness, and it isn't traditional camping with a few upgraded amenities. The experience is intentionally somewhere in between: guests have a beautiful, comfortable basecamp while still hearing the forest, cooking outdoors, building a fire, taking an outdoor shower, and living closer to the landscape.
Is Alaskan Glamping luxury camping?
Yes—but luxury here is intentionally understated.
Alaskan Glamping focuses on comfort, thoughtful design, beautiful surroundings, privacy, and quality time rather than excess. The luxury is having a comfortable bed in a canvas tent, an outdoor shower among the trees, a fire waiting at the end of the day, and the time and space to actually experience Alaska.
Does Alaskan Glamping have hotel-style amenities?
No. Alaskan Glamping is intentionally different from a hotel.
There are comfortable furnished canvas tents and thoughtful outdoor amenities, but guests are still participating in an outdoor experience. There is no conventional hotel building, room service, Wi-Fi-centered entertainment, or indoor bathroom in each tent.
The point is to spend more time outside, not recreate a hotel room outdoors.

This is part of the intentional off-grid experience. Guests can disconnect from everyday technology and spend more time outside without completely giving up comfort.
Is there Wi-Fi at Alaskan Glamping?
No. Alaskan Glamping is intentionally a low-connectivity wilderness experience.
Cell service can also be limited. Guests should plan accordingly and download maps, travel information, entertainment, and other important information before arriving.
For many guests, the lack of connectivity is part of the appeal: it creates space for conversation, exploration, reading, playing, and simply being outside.

The facilities are designed to make wilderness living comfortable while maintaining the off-grid character of the property.

Taking a hot shower outdoors surrounded by the Alaska forest is one of those experiences that tends to become part of the story guests remember.

Guests can gather around the fire, cook, tell stories, and enjoy Alaska's long summer evenings. Firewood is provided/stored on site as part of the camp's infrastructure.
Can I see the Northern Lights from Alaskan Glamping?
The Northern Lights are not guaranteed, and summer guests should not book expecting to see them.
Alaskan Glamping's primary operating season coincides with Alaska's exceptionally long summer daylight, when nights remain bright and true darkness is limited.
For guests specifically hoping to see the aurora, the experience is very different from summer glamping and should be planned around Alaska's darker fall, winter, and spring seasons.
Can I see the midnight sun at Alaskan Glamping?
Yes. The Eklutna area experiences Alaska's long summer daylight, and during the summer season guests can experience very late sunsets and extended evening light.
Instead of traditional dark camping nights, summer guests get the distinctly Alaskan experience of spending time outdoors well into the evening while the landscape remains illuminated.
What is the weather like at Alaskan Glamping?
Alaska summer weather is variable. Guests should be prepared for a range of conditions including sunshine, rain, cool evenings, and occasional warmer days.
The advantage of glamping is having a comfortable canvas shelter and established camp infrastructure while still experiencing the weather and landscape directly.
What should I pack for Alaskan Glamping?
Guests should pack layers, rain gear, sturdy footwear, warm sleepwear, personal toiletries, and clothing appropriate for variable Alaska weather.
Even during summer, temperatures can become cool, particularly in the evening. Comfortable outdoor clothing is more important than dressing for a traditional vacation resort.
Can I cook my own food while glamping?
Yes. Guests can prepare meals at the outdoor camp kitchen.
Cooking your own food is an important part of the experience, and many families enjoy making breakfast before heading out for the day and returning to camp for dinner around the fire. We don't have refrigeration so Ice is needed for multiple day stays if you have perishables
Is Alaskan Glamping good for an Alaska family vacation?
Yes. Alaskan Glamping works particularly well as part of an Alaska family vacation itinerary for travelers who want more than sightseeing from a vehicle.
It provides a place to slow down between other Alaska adventures and gives families the opportunity to experience the landscape at a more personal pace. Guests have shared that they didn't realize the place they were staying could have been the whole trip without any additional outings.

Is Alaskan Glamping a good alternative to an Alaska hotel?
For travelers who want nature, privacy, and an outdoor experience, yes.
It is not intended to replace a hotel for travelers who want room service, nightlife, business facilities, or conventional indoor amenities. It is a better fit for travelers who want their accommodation itself to be part of their Alaska adventure.
Is Alaskan Glamping romantic?
Yes. Couples can enjoy the privacy of a canvas tent, outdoor shower, fire pit, forest setting, and long Alaska summer evenings.
The atmosphere is rustic but refined rather than traditionally romantic or resort-like—more campfire and mountain air than champagne-and-chandeliers. A couple stayed for their 40th anniversary and reported that it was the most romantic anniversery they had ever had.
Is Alaskan Glamping good for couples?
Yes. Couples who enjoy hiking, exploring, cooking outdoors, relaxing around a fire, and spending uninterrupted time together can find the experience particularly rewarding.
It is especially well suited to couples looking for something more memorable and immersive than a conventional hotel stay.

For larger groups, availability and sleeping arrangements should be confirmed directly before booking.
Can I host a family reunion at Alaskan Glamping?

Guests traveling with dogs should review the current pet rules before booking.

Alaskan Glamping is designed to provide a comfortable introduction to wilderness travel, but guests are still staying in a genuine Alaska outdoor environment.
Guests should understand basic wilderness safety, follow camp rules, supervise children, respect wildlife, and be prepared for changing weather and uneven terrain.
Are there bears near Eklutna Lake?
Eklutna is Alaska wilderness, and wildlife—including bears—is part of the broader ecosystem.
Guests should follow all food-storage, cooking, garbage, and wildlife-safety procedures provided by Alaskan Glamping. Seeing wildlife is never guaranteed, and guests should never approach or feed wildlife.
Is Alaskan Glamping good for people who don't like camping?
This may be exactly why Alaskan Glamping exists.
If traditional camping means sleeping on the ground, hauling equipment, figuring out a stove, and waking up damp, glamping provides a much more approachable alternative.
You still get the fire, forest, outdoor shower, fresh air, and wilderness experience—just without having to become a hardcore camper first.
Is Alaskan Glamping good for people who love camping?
Yes—but the appeal is different.
Experienced campers can enjoy having the camp already established, leaving more time for hiking, paddling, exploring, cooking, photography, reading, and simply enjoying the landscape.
You don't have to rough it just because you're outside.
What does “glamping” mean at Alaskan Glamping?
At Alaskan Glamping, glamping means comfortable accommodations combined with genuine outdoor living.
Guests sleep in canvas tents, cook outside, gather around a fire, use an outdoor shower, and spend their days immersed in the landscape. The comfort is there to make the wilderness more accessible—not to remove the wilderness from the experience.
Is Alaskan Glamping off-grid?
Yes. Alaskan Glamping is designed as an off-grid wilderness experience without conventional permanent utilities in the individual tents.
That means guests get a more immersive connection to the outdoors while still having thoughtfully designed amenities that make the experience comfortable.
